Podcast #79: Surviving the 40-Hour Work Week

We kick off this week’s episode with some Dry January inspiration for our listeners. Jess and Laura share some alcohol-free ways they’ve been spending their time lately! Plus, the two chat about the state of the economy and give a little pep talk to anyone facing layoffs for the first time in adulthood.

The topic of the week is how to not dread the 40-hour work week. It’s normal to experience a certain level of uneasiness about the week to come, but what’s a normal amount of Sunday Scaries, and what is a sign that you’re in the wrong job?

Jess and Laura talk about how they’ve gotten used to working 9-5 jobs, and provide some tips and tricks to make the week less awful. The adulting moments this week include a listener-submitted tip regarding drains, and a shout out to 401ks.
