Podcast #48: Six Money Moves You Should Make After College

One of the biggest changes between college and post-grad is the presence of money. You’re no longer living off of the income from your measly part-time campus job that pays $15 an hour…you’re making the big bucks. Or should we say “big bucks.” Ahem.

In this episode of Adultescence podcast, Jess and Laura discuss six money moves that you should make after college to set you up for financial success in your twenties and beyond. This episode is a must-listen for anyone who recently graduated, or even folks who have previously been bad with money and now want to improve.
Money Tips After College

For each of the six steps, we explain why it’s important. Because, we’ve been there. Your mom, grandma, and great Uncle Larry telling you to “save for retirement” with no context is hardly encouraging. Especially with a brand new Gucci bag staring you down and eyeing that shiny paycheck you just cashed.

Tune in to this week’s episode for a step-by-step guide that breaks down and demystifies money as a post-grad. Saving, investing, and paying off debt shouldn’t be rocket science.

If you don’t get these right at first, don’t be hard on yourself! Remember that you have plenty of time to sort out your finances, but keeping these tips in your back pocket will set your future self up nicely for a fabulous retirement. Hello, Boca.
