Podcast #30: Health & Wellness in Your Twenties with Ashley Grado (@AshRoseWellness)
In this episode, we’re joined by Ashley Grado, a holistic health coach based out of Hoboken, New Jersey. We discuss all things health and wellness in your twenties. Ashley tells us about holistic health, and provides insight about getting into a routine after college. Finally, we discuss how to find an intuitive relationship with food and alcohol.
This week’s guest, Ashley Grado, is a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach who is deeply passionate about helping others embark on their own wellness journey. Ashley’s created an Instagram account for all things health and well-being, alongside a coaching business, Ash Rose Wellness. She uses food, movement, and self-care to help others become the best versions of themselves.
What is holistic health?
Holistic health is a version of health and wellness that focuses on you as a whole person. Rather than separating your physical, emotional, spiritual, and mental health into categories and treating them in different ways, holistic health encourages the inclusion of all aspects of your health in a plan to improve your overall well-being.
For example, if a patient wanted to lose weight, a holistic health coach might consider factors like their stress levels or mental health issues when devising a plan. It’s all about making you well and whole as an entire human being. Plus, it makes health and wellness more accessible for everyone.
In the episode, we talk in depth about what holistic health is, what it isn’t, and how you can integrate it into your life.
