Podcast #54: How to Spend the Summer After College

Jess and Laura kick off this week’s episode with a discussion about the pros and cons of spending summer in the city. Plus, recent experiences with workouts gone wrong and a deep cleaning extravaganza result in injuries and soreness, leading your hosts to lament on one of the more upsetting challenges of being an adult: the effect gravity starts to take on your body.

In today’s episode, the ladies break down what they did during the summer after college graduation. They reflect on what they would have done differently if given the opportunity, and why they made the choices they did.

Then, the pair offer up a list of suggestions for new grads on how to fill their time in between college and the “real world” (aka joining corporate America). Some ideas include traveling, volunteering, picking up a new hobby, joining the Peace Corps, or taking some time off.

Finally, they explain why it’s important to take ownership of your life and your choices in post-grad, and consider taking advantage of the momentum you have to make big decisions, like moving cross-country or traveling the world.
